Free Standing and Counter Display Units
Ideal Design manufactures FSDUs and counter displays in the UAE, engineered for retail rollout: quick assembly, flat pack shipping and a finish that stays identical across hundreds of units. One factory covers design, prototyping and volume production.
What breaks most FSDU rollouts, and how do we avoid it?
Most FSDU rollouts break on consistency and logistics, not design. Unit fifty arrives a different shade, panels stop lining up mid batch, or the freight bill for assembled units kills the budget. These are factory problems, and they are solved on the factory floor, not in the design file.
We run FSDU programs on locked tooling: one approved first article, then punching, folding and powder coating repeat to the same programs for every batch, with serialized QC records. Color is controlled at the powder and print stage against brand standards, so market three matches market one.
Logistics is engineered in from the first sketch: units pack flat, assemble quickly without special tools, and ship at up to 70% less volume than built fixtures.
Built as fleets, not one offs.

| Consistency | Serialized batches · QC records per run | One first article governs the fleet |
| Branding | Powder color · UV print · vinyl · acrylic | RAL and brand color matching |
| Freight | Flat pack shipping | Saves up to 70% freight volume |
| Delivery | GCC wide, export to IMEA and Europe | From our Ajman factory |
Built different, and provable.
Trade marketing teams rely on this line because batch consistency is documented, assembly instructions survive real store staff, and freight is engineered rather than endured.
1,000+ hour salt spray
Every panel runs through RO and DI pretreatment ahead of powder coating. Coated parts pass 1,000+ hours of neutral salt spray testing to ISO 9227, proven in the chamber, not claimed on a datasheet.
One roof, no handoffs
Design, fiber laser cutting, punching, panel bending, welding, coating and assembly all happen in our own 75,000 sq ft UAE factory. One team owns quality from CAD file to packed crate.
A published envelope

Questions buyers ask us
What is an FSDU?
FSDU stands for free standing display unit: a self supporting fixture that merchandises product away from the shelf, in aisles, at gondola ends or near tills. Ours are steel platforms with brand skins, built to survive a full campaign and usually the next one.
How do you keep hundreds of units consistent?
With one approved first article and locked production programs. Punching, folding and coating run to the same digital programs for every batch, and serialized QC records document that unit three hundred matches unit one.
How big should a counter display be?
Small enough to defend its till space, big enough to hold a sensible stock depth. As a working rule the footprint must fit the retailer's counter guidelines, so we design around the retailer spec first and the brand's wish list second, and prototype before you commit.
How fast can a rollout move?
Design and prototype typically run in weeks, and production is scheduled batch by batch to your distribution plan. Because print, acrylic and metal all run in house, the schedule has no subcontractor gaps in it.
