Ideal Design manufactures BESS enclosures and battery cabinets in the UAE for solar plus storage, grid and telecom power programs. Cabinets run 650 to 900 mm wide and 1000 to 1950 mm high, engineered for GCC heat and coastal salt, with lead times from 3 weeks out of the UAE.

§ 01 · The application

What does a BESS enclosure have to survive?

A battery energy storage enclosure has to hold heavy modules rigidly, keep dust and water away from DC electronics, and shed heat in a climate that regularly exceeds 48°C, all while standing in direct sun for years. Get any one of those wrong and the batteries inside age fast.

We build BESS cabinets from the site conditions backwards: double skin and canopy options against solar gain, filtered ventilation or AC provision matched to the battery heat load, reinforced bases for module weight, and a coating system proven past 1,000 hours of salt spray for coastal plants.

The line serves solar plus storage developers, telecom power integrators and industrial energy projects across the UAE and the wider GCC, from single cabinets to multi cabinet site programs.

What sizes of battery cabinet do you build?

Our standard battery cabinet envelope runs 650 to 900 mm wide, 1000 to 1950 mm high and 500 to 850 mm deep, with fully custom sizes quoted against your module layout. Cabinets mount on plinths or skids depending on the site.

Are the enclosures suitable for outdoor BESS sites in the Gulf?

Yes, that is what they are engineered for. IP54 and IP55 constructions with rain canopies, filtered ventilation and double skin options manage dust, rain and 48°C solar load, while the powder coat system passes 1,000+ hours of salt spray for coastal sites.

Do you design the thermal management?

We engineer the airflow path around your declared heat load: louver and filter packages, fan trays or AC provision with mounting frames and cutouts. You bring the battery spec, we design the metal and the air around it.

Can you match an existing cabinet design we already deploy?

Yes. Send drawings or a reference unit and we reverse engineer a controlled drawing set for your approval, then produce on locked tooling. Many energy customers use us to localize production of a design they previously imported.
